My Favorite Summer Jewelry Pieces

What does summer remind you of? Summer reminds me of how hot it gets in South Florida… and the rainy afternoons! To celebrate the end of Summer, I thought I would share some jewelry artists who had great Summer pieces. I scoured all of the small businesses and jewelry artists that I follow on Instagram and picked out those who have jewelry that embodies all things summer!

  1. Joanna from Agave Designs

Often using a light color palette, Joanna still manages to incorporate darker shades into her earrings, often in the form of flowers. For her June launch, she combined a white floral background with various tiny ladybugs and gold findings. The clean white with a pop of red is very on-brand with all the vibrant colors used in Summer fashion. I always appreciate the handiwork that goes into making these tiny sculptures, but adding these red critters to her signature flowers matched the bright outdoor spirits present during the Summer months.

2. Lonna and Lilly

Using multiple textures, Lonna and Lilly had multi-layered necklaces that featured beads, connectors, and various types of chains. This Summer, teal has been an integral part of adding color to their gold pieces. Their Summer pieces remind me of the beach and the outdoors already seem to be a huge part of their style already. Lonna and Lilly also had some hanging earrings and adjustable bracelets that reflect golden hour by the beach.

3. Pinky from Pinky Creates

Pinky went all out for her Summer collection where she used all the Summer colors and themes you could think of. Using polymer clay as her main medium to make her hanging earrings, her collection included beach scenes, Summer creatures, and tons of cool treats. She had gold and silver-toned options and her earrings were made with fishhooks, ball posts, and lever backs. She also offers hypoallergenic and clip-on options, so anyone can wear her intricate and colorful Summer jewelry.

4. Andrea Halkin from Tiny Cottage Handmade

Specializing in sterling silver, Andrea used gemstones like amazonite, labradorite, and chalcedony to accompany her beachy charms. Turtles, starfish, octopi, and mermaids also made an appearance in her large array of necklaces while beaded chains added some texture. Reminiscent of the different treasures of the sea, Andrea’s jewelry made me think of the adventures that await me in the deep waters.

5. Maggie from MagBee

Delicate and minimalistic jewelry can be seen on MagBee’s Instagram page as Maggie’s creations are accented with real pearls and gemstones. Maggie had a variety of earrings and necklaces that had pearl beads of all shapes and sizes as well as a few seashell pieces. She uses hypoallergenic and sensitive skin-safe materials and all of her metals are 925 silver and gold-filled. Aside from jewelry that looks like it was made right on the beach, MagBee also uses recyclable and earth-friendly packaging!

6. Greyce from Hecho a Mano

Wear all the colors under the sun with one of Greyce’s hand-made bracelets or keychains. Bright and cheerful, Greyce had jewelry that has all of the colors of the rainbow as well as Summer-themed charms like sweet snacks and actual rainbows. Some of her creations also featured colorful beads and charms with familiar characters that make wearing jewelry all the more fun in Summer!

7. Rochelle from RoClayCo

Another one of my favorite clay artists, Rochelle had some very cute Summer designs that included a pair of happy crab earrings and some sparkly anchor earrings. She had a variety of shell earrings in neutral colors plus others that replicate creatures found in the ocean. She also had a number of Fourth of July earrings and some studs that showed the excitement of camping. Aside from her clay cutters (engineered herself) used for cutting out various shapes, Rochelle uses transfer sheets, texture plates, molds, and silk screens, and she sells all of them on her website for anyone else who wants to experiment with clay! She uses various techniques and often shares her process on her Instagram, but I love all of her carefully crafted earrings that she made for the Summertime.

8. Sidney from Gems by Sidney

Known for her creations made from shrink plastic, Sidney had plenty of jellyfish car charms and they even glow in the dark! As part of her ocean collection, she also had a whale car charm that’s made with a natural shell and matching whale earrings. Videos on Sidney’s Instagram show how she assembles her car charms and uses beads and UV resin to add even more details. She definitely knows how to make ocean creatures come to life for the Summer.

9. Bailey from Noelle Earrings

Expressing her boho style, Bailey used orange and tan as background colors for her Summer daisies in her polymer clay earrings. She portrayed the hot outdoor days of Summer with sunflowers, cacti, and mushrooms, all accented with gold findings. Filled with good vibes all around, Noelle’s jewelry reminds me of the dry desert during the heated Summer and all the flora and fauna that can be found there.
