Modeling paste and acrylic paint on canvas

I mixed modeling paste with acrylic paint and used different palette knives to apply it to the canvas to create a portrait of my cockatiel, Mischief. I layered the modeling paste to enhance the texture and once it cured, I painted over some areas with just acrylic paint to add more details.

Paint chips on canvas

I cut and glue paint chip cards to create a hedgehog roaming amongst small flowers and rocks. I layered the paint chip cards to create a sense of space amongst the background while using different tones of colors to define the form of the hedgehog and the rocks. I added some colored flowers to contrast the hedgehog and the rocks.

Modeling paste and acrylic paint on canvas

I used a plastic knife to layer modeling paste mixed with acrylic paint to create a portrait of Hedwig. I spread the modeling paste to form the layers of her feather and added different amounts of black to create shadows. This piece was inspired by Koby Feldmos.
