Shawn Mendes Portrait Process Pics
Ink on paper.
After being inspired by an uncredited artist on Instagram, I attempted this type of drawing once before with a portrait of my bird using a compass that I never gave back to my eighth grade math teacher. I wanted to try this style again with a human face since I’m not confident in drawing people. This portrait was going to be bigger than my last one and my plastic compass was too small, so I needed to make my own compass out of cardstock. After I gridded the face, I used my compass to draw concentric circles that go up to 12’’ in diameter. Then I used Micron pens to shade along the circle until the face of Shawn Mendes was recognizable. You can watch the full video of my process here on my YouTube channel.
